The Mall at Millenia
The Millenia Mall is located at 4200 Conroy Road, Orlando, Florida. The Millenia Mall is spread over an area of 1.2 million square feet. The mall houses the best national and international retailers in the world. The Mall has an architectural award-winning design with fossilized tiles and breathtaking entrance. The extreme brightness of the mall feels you as if you are entering into a futuristic mall. The mall is considered as snootiest and ritziest mall in the region built targeted at upper class customers. The mall houses only upscale departmental stores like Bloomingdale’s, Marcus and Macy’s. You have the traditional (uncovered) parking facility at mall entrance for just $5. Despite the large parking lot, it becomes difficult to secure a parking spot at entrance as everybody visiting mall wants to park in front of the entrance. There are some restaurants by the side of parking lot at the mall entrance. Restaurants alone stood to the reputation of the mall. Restaurants here are very popular and upscale. These are so popular that you have to reserve your seats in advance if you wish to dine, especially on week ends. Brio Tuscan Grille, P.F. Chang’s China Bistro, the Cheesecake Factory, Blue Martini and Schmick’s Seafood restaurant are some of the popular restaurants.
There are few food courts available at the mall. California Pizza and Johnny Rockets are some of the popular food courts. The two storey mall is very large in area. In fact, it is not considered as a family mall as there is very little choice to choose from when it comes to children clothes. This factor makes visitors to spend considerably short time at the mall. Kids Gap, Gymboree, Burberry, Oilily, Zara and United Colors of Benetton are the only stores in the mall that offer children clothes. KB Toys was the only toy store in the mall. That too has gone out of business since last year. The candy machines and little climbing park area, which are features of most of the malls are also absent. What really surprises the tourist is the absence of movie theatre in or around the mall.
Most of the upscale shops in the mall are targeted at providing shopping facilities to the females. There are more than 48 such stores which offer Women’s Apparel services. Gucci, Guess, A Pea in the Pod, Oilily, Kenneth Cole, Victoria Secrets, Talbots and Tommy’s Bahama’s are some of the popular stores.
More than 20 shoe shops in the mall offer you wider choice for shoe selection. The traditional stores, which are common feature of most of malls, are not found in Millenia Mall. The Millenia Mall is open between 1000 and 0900pm from Monday to Saturday and between 12pm and 7pm on Sunday. The surrounding are has grown up tremendously. Many restaurants, specialty stores and fast food outlets have flourished in the surrounding area. The Millenia Mall is a perfect place, especially for upscale brand name items. The mall has amazing building and offer wide range of clothes for selection. Occasionally, entertainment shows are organized at the mall on week ends. It is advisable to keep the kids at home and enjoy your shopping at Millenia Mall.
